The University of Cambridge hosted the Days of Nazarbayev Intellectual Schools
In the UK, the Days of Nazarbayev Intellectual Schools were held at the University of Cambridge. This is a landmark event for the whole educational system in the country. The international forum was initiated by the strategic partner of the Intellectual Schools – the University of Cambridge.
For the first time, in the walls of one of the world’s top universities – the University of Cambridge, the experience of Kazakhstani innovative schools was presented. An open lecture "Time for Change: 10 years of Nazarbayev Intellectual schools" by Kulyash Shamshidinova, Chairperson of the Board, Autonomous Educational Organization Nazarbayev Intellectual Schools was of great interest among authoritative scientists and experts in education, representatives of the British pedagogical faculties and universities, as well as diplomats, journalists, doctoral students and students.
Tristian Stobie, Director of Education at CAIE (Cambridge Assessment International Education), called the creation of Intellectual Schools "one of the most successful country projects in the field of education".
Shigeo Katsu, President of Nazarbayev University AEO, Chairman of the Board of Trustees in Nazarbayev Intellectual Schools AEO, His Excellency Mr. Yerlan Idrissov, Ambassador of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, emphasized that today Intellectual schools are the crucial drivers in the system of national education. Geoff Hayward, Head of Faculty of Education, University of Cambridge, admitted that the faculty is proud of the unique cooperation with the Intellectual schools. The uniqueness lies in the duration and achievements of the project. It is partnership with innovative schools in Kazakhstan that can serve as a prime example of global cooperation in the field of pedagogy.
